A Free Collection of 10,000 Digital Photographs
The above portrays the front pages of three different volumes of Blue Funnel Line ships in a landscape format. In total there were some 75 different Blue Funnel ship names in service from 1865 until 1988, and this profile of those Alfred Holt ships show about a thousand good quality digital photos in colour and monochrome on A4 sized pages. There are also 42 different British shipping company profiles that follow on, and between the whole display there are approximately 10,000 photographs of ships from those 43 shipping companies which include a large selection of British and German WW2 warships.
If you have served in the British Merchant Navy you will more than likely see every foreign going ship that you served on. Although the display has yet to be finalised, this photo exhibition which has been compiled by the author has taken many years to formulate, with the whole project being a gift from all those men and women who sailed under the Red Ensign, to the Motor Neurone Disease Association for their fund raising. Furthermore, you don’t need to have served at sea to be a subscriber and get the 10,000 ship free offer. Indeed, maybe one of your relatives past or present had served under the Red Ensign, and if you have his or her discharge book, the ship and the company they sailed in will be easy to find. Follow our latest developments on this web site and please pass the word on to increase the subscriber volume. The first issue in this free offer will be the Blue Funnel Line Volume 1 showing their A Class Ships, followed by Volumes 2 and three. If by then the donations to MNDA are worth carrying on with, there will then be T& J Harrisons, Lamport & Holt, and many other Liverpool and UK companies. No charges will be levied on anybody who enjoys seeing this profile of ships, but we would appreciate a donation to Just Giving to the MOTOR NEURONE DISEASE ASSOCIATION. It must be stressed that the author and supplier of these RED ENSIGN SHIPS, will not be taking anything from your donation in expenses or charges, and every penny of your welcome gift will go directly to the MNDA.
